The 73mm freeride and downhill longboard wheels are built for slide initiation, speed recovery, and consistent urethane behavior. At 73mm in diameter, these wheels generate enough roll speed to carry momentum through slides and recover quickly on the exit, which makes them a practical choice for riders who want to link multiple slides on a run without losing too much speed between them.
The 48mm wide profile gives this wheel a substantial contact footprint that provides stable tracking during straight-line descents and through carves. The 31mm contact patch sits within the rounded lip profile, which is designed to release into slides progressively rather than breaking traction abruptly. This behavior makes the wheel usable for riders who are developing their slide technique, while still providing the predictable feel that more experienced riders expect from a freeride-oriented wheel.
The stone-ground finish on the contact patch removes the outer skin layer from the urethane before the wheels leave the factory. This eliminates the break-in period that unground wheels typically require, where the outer skin grips harder than the worn urethane underneath. Stone-ground wheels slide consistently from the first session, which means the behavior you experience on day one is representative of how the wheel will perform over time.
The centerset core positions the hub at the midpoint of the wheel width, which allows the wheels to be flipped and rotated to distribute wear evenly across both sides of the contact patch. This extends the usable life of the wheel and keeps the slide feel consistent as the urethane wears down.
Available in three durometers: 80a (Orange) for a softer feel with more grip on rougher surfaces, 83a (Purple) for a balanced freeride feel on mixed pavement, and 86a (Yellow) for a firmer, faster-releasing slide on smoother roads.
