The 49mm width gives this wheel a moderately wide profile that provides a stable contact footprint during carving and dancing without adding unnecessary mass. The 42mm contact patch sits within the rounded lip profile, which allows the wheel to release into slides progressively rather than snapping abruptly. This makes them approachable for riders learning slide technique while still being functional for more experienced riders who want a predictable, controllable slide feel.
The stone-ground finish removes the outer skin layer from the contact patch before the wheels leave the factory, eliminating the break-in period that unground wheels typically require.
